The film features one hundred people, who each present the IBM achievement recorded in the year they were born. The film chronology flows from the oldest person to the youngest, offering a whirlwind history of the company and culminating with its prospects for the future.

‘Decollecting orphaned collections’ in a responsible and professional way and giving support to museological institutions that have to go through the same process, or want to avoid it.
One of the beautiful items of the collection from former Scription Museum was the Holborn 9120.
This computer is a Dutch product (“Holborn = born in Holland”), consisting of a science-fiction style display/keyboard unit, a processor box with four 8″ floppy drives and a lightpen for much the same purposes as today’s mouse.
The Holborn computers were mainly sold to small companies for administration and bookkeeping purposes.
The Holborn company has been active only from 1980 to 1983, when it bankrupted. Like most manufacturers of computer systems of original design around the world, it hasn’t survived the competition of IBM and the IBM-PC-clone builders. About 200 machines were sold. The price of the full-featured Holborn was about Dfl 30,000 or US$ 10,000 (at the exchange rate of the time).

The ‘Fuji’ logo
George Opperman, Atari’s first hired artist, created the ”fuji” Atari symbol in 1972. “George tells us that the corporate logo basically represents a stylized letter ‘A’ to stand for ‘Atari.’ He did have an added inspiration in designing the symbol, though. Back in 1972, Atari’s claim to fame was ‘Pong,’ and George says the two side pieces of the Atari symbol represent two opposing video game players, with the center line of the ‘Pong’ court in the middle.”
